YAEL TOBÓN is a queer Mexican writer and poet based in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal). Admitted initially into med school, they are now enrolled in the Honours program in English and Creative Writing with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies in Sexuality at Concordia University. They write about food, the complexity of human emotions, late night kitchen conversations, recognition, fathers, rage and everything in between. Their work has been published in Pixie Literary Magazine, Queer Toronto Literary Magazine, Raw Literary Magazine, Encore Poetry Project and more.
