Non-Fiction Prompt #13

A favourite movie of mine is that 1998 Gwyneth Paltrow flick, Sliding Doors. The narrator runs to catch a subway train. In one version of her life, she boards the train. In an alternate version of her life, she misses it. This simple action alters the character’s life dramatically, and the movie explores the two divergent possibilities, juxtaposing one against the other.

For this exercise, write about a time when your life was altered by chance, by a small twist of fate. How might things have been different had the fateful moment not occurred?
