Upcoming Event: Indigenous Voices
On Thursday, October 26, Douglas College’s Creative Writing Department and EVENT will host talented experienced and emerging Indigenous writers, in an evening of poetry and prose. Join us to hear these writers share their work and talk about their writing processes, at the annual Indigenous Voices event.
This year’s event will feature Brandi Bird, Marissa Charles, and Douglas College Creative Writing Department’s Indigenous Writer-in-Residence, Carleigh Baker!
Join us from 6:30 to 8:30pm at The Indigenous Gathering Place, on the 4th floor of Douglas College’s New Westminster campus. This event is free and open to the community. Refreshments will be provided.
The New Westminster campus is located at 700 Royal Avenue, New Westminster, 1 block from the New Westminster SkyTrain station. The building has wheelchair-accessible elevators and restrooms. Everyone at the college is encouraged to refrain from using strong scents. Some additional campus info can be found here. For questions about campus accessibility, please call 604-527-5400.
