(Virtual) Fall Reading Series: Rose Cullis

Rose Cullis is a queer writer/educator living in Toronto on Treaty 13 territory (she/her/they/their). She recently won third place in Event Magazine’s Creative Nonfiction Contest with an essay called “My Beautiful Madness” about a performance art piece that she once offered to the wrong audience. She has had short stories, plays and monologues published in a number of theme-based anthologies. Her play, The Happy Woman, was produced by Nightwood Theatre and short-listed for a national award. She completed an MFA in Creative Writing at Guelph University and currently has two plays in development: The Amazing Grace Jones Spaceship. and After/Baal.

Rose’s piece of Creative Non-Fiction, “My Beautiful Madness” was published in EVENT Issue 49/1. For our 2020 (Virtual) Fall Reading Series, she reads from her work, “Reconciliation”.
